Renault's funky Captur Sunset Edition is available in dealerships. Like the name suggests it features a striking black paintwork with orange highlights, an equally black and orangey matching interior, and Renault's strong yet efficient 1.5 DCi turbodiesel engine - the same engine found in the extremely popular Duster compact SUV. Only 100 Captur Sunset Edition models are allocated to South Africa, so if black and orange is your bag, best you get your order in quickly.
The addition of a turbodiesel engine will be a welcome addition to the Captur range, offering 66kW and 220Nm of torque, while claiming to sip just 3.6l of diesel per 100km. A saving of 35% and a result, Renault say, from technology derived directly from Renault’s Formula 1 expertise.

Setting itself apart from regular Captur models, the Sunset Edition gains orange interior accents, on the main console, door speaker surrounds, with the steering wheel gaining an especially extravagant 'swish' of bright orange too. Black cloth seats and orange inserts round of the sunset makeover.
Like its siblings in the range, the Captur Dynamique diesel derivative offers Bluetooth® connectivity with hands-free telephony and music streaming, Renault’s MediaNav integrated on-board multimedia system with 7” touchscreen and satellite navigation, plus USB port are all included as standard.
Other features such as hands-free key card, electric side mirrors and electric windows (front and rear) plus automatic climate control, rear parking sensors with rear camera, automatic headlights and rain sensitive front wipers are standard across the diesel range. A tyre pressure sensor is standard on all Dynamique models.
Safety is high on the agenda with the Captur receiving 5 stars in the Euro NCAP rating system. Other safety features include front, head/chest side bags, ABS with EBA, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
